DEG: Gender-Smart Opportunities Assessment (GSOA)

DEG was looking to support its clients and investee companies on gender, and looking for a team that could deliver technical assistance and capacity building in gender finance.

DEG was particularly interested in delivering gender technical assistance to its clients and investee companies in the financial institutions sector.

Context

Led by Palladium and Sustainable Finance Advisory, with CoSustain Consulting the team deployed the GSOA, a methodology to support clients/investee companies to become gender-smart. The work included company-wide data analysis, in-country trips and a recommendations report.

Approach

As a result the clients/investee companies were able to progress more effectively with gender-smart financial and non-financial products and services.
